MetaFluor軟體，隸屬 MetaMorph 的系列軟體. 是一種使用Fura2、BCECF、INDOL、fluo3等螢光染劑測量細胞內離子濃度的比例圖像專用軟體。可驅動高速切換激發波長的光源及螢光濾鏡濾轉輪，並取得最多5個波長的圖像(4個波長的螢光圖像對應於2比值，剩下的1個波長為觀察微分干涉或位相差等的明視野圖像)，即時測量1個或2個比值。細胞內螢光強度變化或者比值變化的資料輸出到Excel等表格計算軟體中，能夠製成圖表。MetaFluor標準配備了照明驅動器，能夠根據用途需要，分別使用濾光片轉輪(Sutter公司生產的Lambda10-2/DG-4或LEP公司生產的MAC5000-FW等)，這時只要增加更改硬體，不需另外購置控制驅動器。(模擬控制型的單色儀控制時，有時候需要另外的專用板) 另外，MetaFluor軟體中已經附屬了分析專用的MetaFluor Analyst，所以能夠單獨分析已經取得的資料。(Analyst中包括了許多用戶提出要求的照片漂白校正功能。)

Confocal laser-scanning microscopy imaging using the intracellular Ca²⁺ indicator fluo-3 (F1241, F1242, F14218, F14242, F23915) shows that -amyloid peptide destabilizes the neuron's calcium homeostasis and increases its vulnerability to excitotoxicity.
