Roper 最新的 Cascade II 512 採用最新的 EMCCD - ON-Chip-Multiplication Gain 技術, 無須外接的冷卻裝置, 可降溫至攝氏 - 80 , CCD 暗電流 ( Dark current ) 降到最低, 獨家的真空封裝技術, 能提高 QE , 確保 CCD 使用效率與壽命, 16 bits ( 512 x 512 pixels ), Frame-Transfer ( back - illuminated ), 最大量子峰值效率 ( QE ) 高達 92% 以上. 三段讀出速率 10, 5, 1 MHz 提供不同的應用需求.

1 Highest Sensitivity ! ( 超高靈敏, 超高解像力, 超高 QE )
Photometrics® Cascade cameras offer unmatched sensitivity thanks to on-chip multiplication gain, an innovative CCD technology that multiplies low-light-level signals above the read noise of the system. To compound this benefit, the Cascade:512B and 128+ models utilize back-illuminated detectors that deliver the highest QE available. The newest Cascade: 1K utilizes advanced virtual phase CCD technology and achieves better UV to NIR sensitivity than any front illuminated CCD technology.
2 "Two-in-One" Versatility ! ( 獨家技術 )
Cascade:512B and Cascade:512F models are offered with dual amplifiers to ensure optimal performance for ultra-low-light imaging and wide-dynamic-range applications. Either one of these cameras provides a high-performance solution for single-molecule fluorescence (SMF) as well as brightfield / fluorescence imaging applications.
3 Rugged Durability ! ( 攝影器穩固, 取代 I-CCD )
Traditional ICCD cameras use external image-intensifier hardware to amplify low-light-level signals. Unfortunately, these intensifiers are susceptible to damage in bright-light conditions and suffer from lower resolution and uniformity. By contrast, Cascade cameras do not use external image-intensifier hardware. Charge is multiplied right on the CCD — in the solid-state domain! Cascade CCDs offer superior resolution and uniformity and are not prone to damage from bright light.
4 Supravideo Speed ! ( 超高速影像擷取 )
Until now, selecting a CCD camera for low-light imaging required giving up speed. Although capable of detecting low-light signals, slow-scan cameras could only produce 1 to 4 frames per second. However, by effectively minimizing read noise, on-chip multiplication gain allows Cascade cameras to deliver full-frame images at video rates! (The use of ROI boosts these rates into the range of hundreds of frames per second!) In addition, the frame-transfer architecture of Cascade CCDs provides the 100% duty cycle required for continuous observation of kinetic events (e.g., motion or tracking). The new Cascade: 128+ delivers unprecedented 510 frames per second at full resolution for ultra high-speed imaging.
