| The
EB-CCD camera is an innovative highly
sensitive detector that puts advanced
technology to work in order to obtain
an amplified gain. This is done by
applying a high potential across a
photocathode and accelerating the
resulting photocathodes directly into
a CCD. This direct
"bombardment" of the CCD
without intervening microchannel
plates, phosphor screens and other
common intensifier elements provides
for a higher qualitative and
quantitative image, A newly developed
back-thinned CCD sensor is employed
enabling imaging at a high sensitivity
level. In addition, a sensor driven by
low-noise current uses both
back-thinned CCD technology and MPP
drive to achieve long service life
characteristics.
The EB-CCD camera is
a next generation, highly sensitive
detector, which features a simplified
configuration along with high
sensitivity and S/N ratio. |
